Brain Repair positioning statement

As part of the Brain Awareness Week 2020 activities, we will be hosting the annual Brain Fair - a free drop-in event for our community and the public to learn more about the brain through hands-on activities, interactive displays, live experiments, scavenger hunt, games and more.

Undergraduate students, graduate trainees and PIs will be on site demonstrating and interacting with guests, many of whom will be invited school groups!

THURSDAY March 26th 10am - 2pm

Lab Groups that will be taking part include: 

  • Retina Lab (Dr Baldridge) 
  • Freidman Lab - Epilepsy, TBI (Dr Alon Freidman)
  • NCIL NeuroCognitive Imaging Lab (Dr Aaron Newman) 
  • Rafuse Lab - ALS, spinal cord research  (Dr Vic Rafuse)
  • Molecular Neurobiology & Behaviour (Dr Deniz Top)
  • Cognitive Health and Recovery Research Lab (Dr Gail Eskes)
  • Microscale Tissue Engineering And Biotechnology Laboratory (Dr John Frampton)  
  • Sleep Lab (Dr Kazue Semba) 
  • Undergraduates - various interactive displays, games etc

 

We will be hosting a number of school groups and welcome members of the Dalhousie community as well as the public to drop by and see what is happening here at the Brain Repair Centre and on Dalhousie campus.

Note to schools:
If you are a school teacher and would like to bring your kids, we encourage grades 5-8 to attend but we would appreciate that you confirm with us ahead of time so we can accomodate all.  Email This email address is being protected from spambots.
