About Jennifer Raoul, PhD

Jennifer Raoul is a partner and registered patent agent in the Ottawa office of Borden Ladner Gervais, LLP.  Jennifer specializes in drafting and prosecuting patent applications on behalf of her clients, as well as providing IP-related strategic advice, legal opinions, due diligence, and litigation support. Jennifer works with clients in the private and public sectors, including universities, research organizations, start-ups, SMEs and global organizations.

Jennifer hails from Nova Scotia. She obtained an honours degree in science from Dalhousie in 1998 and, after a year teaching English in Korea, went on to earn a PhD in pharmacology from Dalhousie in 2004. During her graduate training, Jennifer had an opportunity to conduct an industrial research rotation at Merck-Frosst, a leading pharmaceutical company.
