Canadian Clinical Trials Asset Map (CCTAM)

The Canadian Clinical Trials Coordinating Centre (CCTCC) – a collaborative effort of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Canada's Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (Rx&D), and HealthCareCan - has been established to restore the country’s competitive advantage for hosting clinical trials.  One of the tools being developed to help achieve this is the Canadian Clinical Trials Asset Map (CCTAM), a unique, searchable, web-based database designed to communicate Canada’s clinical research strengths to all stakeholders, including international clinical trial sponsors.

NSHRF is partnering with Rx&D to host a representative of CCTAM to visit Halifax on May 11 to explain the design, features, benefits and future plans for the Asset Map and conduct a brief demo.  NSHRF’s goal is to provide Nova Scotia health researchers and institutions the opportunity to learn about this project and how the CCTAM supports investigators, sites, institutions and networks. Instructions on how local investigators and institutions can become part of the Asset Map will be provided as well.
