Atlantic Mobility Action Project (AMAP) Journal Club
Atlantic Mobility Action Project (AMAP) Journal Club
The Atlantic Mobility Action Project Journal Club gathers researchers, students and technical staff with an interest in the neurobiology of the brain and spinal cord and the underpinnings of potential treatments for movement disorders. The club provides a venue for informal discussions of scientific publications broadly related to ongoing research projects and may include such topics as neurodevelopment, neural circuitry underlying locomotion, spinal cord and brain injury, and neuromuscular disorders. Meetings provide an opportunity for participants to share new findings and techniques, break down complex concepts, and find new ways to further their research. Students report that taking part in the journal club discussions enhances their presentation skills and helps prepare them for their all-important thesis defence.
Meeting day/time: every second Thursday at 12:30 p.m*
