Who We Are
About the Brain Repair Centre
The Brain Repair Centre (BRC) is a world-class research centre of excellence – home to academics and partner organisations dedicated to reversing the epidemic of illness and injuries to the brain and nervous system. Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, our centre was founded by scientists and clinicians at Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia Health Authority and the IWK Health Centre.
Our focus is on research, innovation and education. Through worldwide partnerships, we bring scientists, clinicians and trainees together. Our work impacts people who live with neurological disease and disorders, caregivers, business partners and community members. Together we share and learn from one another. Everyone’s voice is essential in our quest to advance neuroscience discovery, improve neurological clinical care and contribute to the Nova Scotia economy.
