Dr. Julianne Flanagan Professor, Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Medical University of South Carolina Dr. Flanagan's research focuses on examining the behavioral and neurobiological mechanisms linking alcohol use, PTSD, and intimate partner violence and developing treatments for individuals and couples.

Dr. Flanagan will cover three trials from her group on couples treatment for alcohol use disorders: results from a completed trial, the design and progress of a recently completed trial, and a description of an ongoing trial. All projects will be discussed in the context of existing gaps in the literature and persistent challenges in the field.
