Halifax Brain Bee winner places second in Nationals

The Brain Repair Centre is proud to congratulate Alyanna Delos Reyes on placing second in the CIHR National Brain Bee!

Alyanna won first place in the Halifax Brain Bee, which took place at the Brain Repair Centre last month on April 29. Alyanna shared her experience on the Halifax Brain Bee website.

The National Brain Bee was a two-day virtual competition held on May 26 and 27 and had 13 competitors from all over Canada.

The winners of the CIHR National Brain Bee were:

  • First place - Helene Li, Ottawa

  • Second place - Alyanna Delos Reyes, Halifax

  • Third place - Kiera Mitchell, Waterloo

Congratulations to all winners! First place winner Helene Li will go on to compete the International Brain Bee World Championship on July 9 in Paris, France, in conjuction with the FENS Forum of Neuroscience. Although the Forum will have a blend of virtual and in-person events, the International Brain Bee component will be held virtually.
